My little Fakhri

My little boy, Fakhri turns four this year. He is still on pampers when is at home but if he goes to TASKA, he is being trained by teachers for potty training. I called him my PhD baby, as one month before I submitted my PhD thesis, I found myself pregnant. I hope by the end of this year, he is no longer using pampers and he can speak better, no "pelat". Some people might make fun of him due to his slang, I don't mind, but I believe, there is always better way how to communicate your concern about his slang. I guess a kid like him also does not like to be condemned in the crowds. May Allah guide these type of people whom I encountered when they know that Fakhri still does not speak properly. " Oh My English"! Alhamdulillah, I went through the morning sickness until the day I delivered him. I understand it is not easy to become a mama. The first hurdle is to control your morning sickness, I guess mine is not morning only, it is all day- regardless night or day. That's why there is a Malay proverb saying " syurga di bawah telapak kaki ibu", blessings and doa from our own mother will always be the main motivation in charting our daily life. My doa to my mama and Baba, for all their sacrifice, may Allah reward them Jannatunaim and health in life. Amin Ya Allah.

Holiday December

School holiday started earlier for the secondary students. How to time flies and it is going to be two weeks before the school begins. New chapter for the school students. The courage to start a new semester is still not around, for me, as a mother. Less traffic jams and less rushing here and there. How do I really induldge the school vacation. Despite my tight schedule, I managed to bring the kids to visit Surabaya ( it was work and play visit), Singapore and a short vacation in Kuala Lumpur. Despite that we just stay in the hotel's room. I guess we are thankful for the opportunity given. Ya Allah, shower us with your blessings.

Sweet September 2013

Masya Allah! September comes, another four months to 2014. Alhamdulillah, Allah for giving me the opportunity to cherish the time given. So many things happened, how fast time flies. A year feels like a month, a day gone by just like a blink. After all, life is about appreciate and forgiveness. The breaking news on fuel increasing breaks many heart and might be sensitive for the meantime. Life is full of struggle and gratitude. Yups, if we comparative study, we should be thankful, but what I dislike comparison?

welcome semester 1 2018/2019

Every new semester promises new experience and adventure. Looking back, alhamdulillah, this coming November marked my work anniversary as an educator. I joined as an assistant lecturer in one a reputable private university in Malaysia on 1st November 1999. I was blessed to have a supportive and understanding colleagues. My boss Dr Yusuf, is not only so fatherly, but he always support his staff and strive for excellence. I learned a lot about academia world from here. Everytime, I passed along the campus, it reminds me of the early days in academia. Teaching is not a simple task.
